Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled its all-new 2016 Speed Triple in an official video, which will be publicly showcased for the very first time at 2015 EICMA show. The Italian motorcycle show is scheduled from Nov. 19 - Nov. 22, 2015.
The 2016 Speed Triple has over 104 new elements and components over the previous year's model. Triumph designers have worked on redesigning the motorcycle with subtle changes. The engine will also be reworked on to extract more performance in the naked street fighter.
Powering the 2016 Triumph Speed Triple will be a 1,050cc, inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Triumph engineers have redesigned the combustion chamber, pistons, crank, and cylinder heads as well as tweaked and increased the fuel efficiency and torque by ten percent.
Triumph will be offering its new motorcycle in two variants, the Speed Triple S and Speed Triple R motorcycles. The Speed Triple S is a more sporty version out of the two and will receive carbon-fibre bodywork. It will also be equipped with Ohlins suspension, billet bar clamps, and swingarm pivot covers.
The most noticeable visual change will be the new headlights with Daytime Running Lights. Triumph designers have redesigned the seat and tank, which give the impression of a sleek and aggressive street fighter persona.
Triumph Motorcycles will bring the 2016 Speed Triple to Indian shores as well, most likely around mid-2016. The new Triumph Speed Triple will compete with the likes of the BMW S1000R and Aprilia's Tuono V4 motorcycles in the country.
