Yamaha YZF R15 New Colors For 2014
We all thought there would be a new version 3.0 of Yamaha R15, that is not the case. The Japanese automobile manufacturer has only launched a variety of color options.
We had heard rumors that Yamaha may launch an updated version of their successful version 2.0, YZF-R15. It was expected that the update will mainly get cosmetic updates and a minor bump up in power.
We have now confirmed that there is no version 3.0 and Yamaha was to launch only their new colors. These have been confirmed as Yamaha dealers network has received the new YZF-R15 brochure, confirming new colors and no power gains.

There will be four new colors available, which the Japanese giant calls Raring Red, Invincible Black, Racing Blue, Grid Gold. Among all the color options the Grid Gold will be limited edition and will be available in selected numbers.
Many of the biking fraternity were awaiting to see, how would Yamaha better their already great product. You can notice from the brochure that nothing has been changed on the inside.
We spoke to a reliable source and he confirmed there isn't going to be a new YZF-R15 at the moment. He confirmed though that Yamaha is trying to get the R25 out as soon as possible.
In a way it is good that Yamaha did not update the R15 as it would kill the market for their R25, incase they manage to prepare a production ready 250cc bike.
It is expected the R25 will be a twin cylinder and could attract a premium pricing. This could kill the 250cc bike and riders might opt out and choose the YZF-R15.
