Yamaha To Offer Performance Accessories For R25
Yamaha have recently launched their quarter-litre sportsbike in Indonesia the R25. The 250cc in-line two engine will be launching in India too however, they haven't put a time period on it. We expect the Japanese manufacturer to launch the bike before the end of 2014 in India.
We recently heard that Yamaha has brought a R25 to India for testing, this could only mean one thing. The manufacturer is keen on launching the bike in India as soon as possible. The bike is every motoring enthusiast dream machine.
Post the launch of Yamaha's R25 they have an important announcement they have revealed to its customers. The Japanese manufacturer will be providing its quarter-litre bike with significant cosmetic as well as performance accessories.
The R15 when launched by Yamaha in India also received several power and cosmetic accessories that individuals could choose from. It consisted of a single seat cowl, full exhaust system, an ECU from Daytona, cam-shafts and more. They will also launch a few accessories for its newly launched R25.
The accessories on offer for Yamaha's newly launched R25 will be similar to what the Japanese offer with the R15 in India as well as in Indonesia. These performance parts will be available with dealers within a couple of months. Yamaha have confirmed though there will be certain parts which will be unique and only for the R25.
Yamaha have launched the R25 in three colour options Blue & White, Red & White and Black & Red. It was launched at a price of 53 million Rupiah for Indonesian markets, which roughly translates to INR 2,69,806. It is surprising that at such a price point Yamaha isn't offering ABS as an option.
Yamaha's R25 sports a 249cc in-line two liquid cooled engine with Direct OverHead Camshafts(DOHC). It will have four valves per cylinder and will be capable of producing 22.1 Nm of peak torque along with 36 PS. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed transmission.
