Yamaha To Begin Deliveries By July End Of Version 2.0 FZ Range
Yamaha India recently launched its refreshed version of the FZ range. The Version 2.0 FZ and FZ-S now comes with fuel injection and Blue Core Engine technology. The bookings have commenced, however, deliveries of the new bikes will commence by the end of July, 2014.
The 2014 model of FZ Version 2.0 is priced at INR 76,250 ex-showroom Delhi, while FZ-S Version 2.0 costs 78,250 ex-showroom Delhi. The new model is more expensive than the carburettor model, which has not been phased out. The Japanese manufacturer will offer both the bikes fuel injected as well as carburetted.
Yamaha India will sell previous generation as well as the refreshed model. They want to provide their buyers with more options to choose from. It is still not sure if the Version 2.0 will be available or not in a regular carbureted model.

The FZ Version 2.0 range will sport a new 149cc engine, with Blue Core technology. Yamaha explains the new tech along with fuel injection will provide better fuel efficiency. The engine will produce 12.8 Nm of peak torque, along with 12 horsepower. The weight of the motorcycle has also been reduced for ease of riding and stability.
The exterior of Version 2.0 FZ range has received the maximum changes. Yamaha India have provided the bike with redesigned headlight, tail light, split seats, new exhaust design, reworked information console and tank extensions.
Yamaha FZ Version 2.0 range will face competition from the soon to be launched Suzuki Gixxer. It will also have to fend off its previous rivals Honda Trigger, TVS Apache RTR160 and Hero MotoCorp. Xtreme. It will be interesting to witness if buyers will still opt for the carburetor engine, over the new fuel injected models.
