Yamaha Ray 125 Launch In September?
Yamaha Ray, the Japanese two wheeler maker's popular scooter offering in India would be available in a 125cc variant this year, according to a report.

The Ray & the more sporty Ray Z is powered by a 113cc, 7.1 PS power and 8.1 Nm torque engine. The purported 125cc Ray will be powered by the same engine, but one that's been bored to increase the displacement.

The Ray Z is one of the most sporty looking scooter currently available in India and the Ray 125 is likely to carry on the same look. However, despite the larger engine this will not be the high performance scooter from Yamaha we have been waiting for.

Instead, Yamaha will focus on fuel economy with the Ray 125. According to report, the Ray 125 could also come with disc brakes. This is, however, likely to be made optional, as is the case with some other 125cc scooters in the market.
Yamaha Ray Z will be launched in September, says Overdrive, which carried the report, and will be the last scooter from Yamaha this year.
Yamaha is already working on extensive updates to its motorcycle models the R15 and the FZ and will also launch its first 250cc sports bike, the Indian built R25 in the near future.
