Yamaha R6 Still Ahead In SuperSport

By Ajinkya

Its been four years now and Yamaha is still the bike to beat in the SuperSport 600cc segment. It is very difficult for a manufacturer to stay atop amidst fierce rivalry. However, Yamaha has done it for four years.

The Yamaha R6 even after four years still looks ahead of its time. It has an edgy and razor sharp look with a pointed tail section and low exhaust.

The R6 has won multiple championships in the SuperSport class which consists of Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki etc.

Yamaha R6 was ridden by last years SuperSport winner Sam Lowes and proved that the Japanese machine was still the best among other competitors. The British rider will however, ride in Moto2 category instead of WSBK.

The R6 has been evolved constantly from their MotoGP program, inputs are given in by rider like Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi. This increases rider confidence and the bike feels planted even mid corner. The chassis is rigid and provide perfect feedback to the rider aboard.

Yamaha R6 was the first to feature a ride by wire throttle system. Which essentially meant a connection between the riders wrist and air fuel mixture can be altered for better response making it rideable in any situation.

We bet Yamaha R6 is still the best bike out there in 600cc segment. The bike in a professionals hand can beat any other bike on any given day.
