Yamaha And Movistar Together; MotoGP
For those who follow MotoGP will remember Movistar as the title sponsor for Sete Gibernau's Honda bike. Yamaha title sponsor was Fiat earlier however, they have retained their main sponsor Monster from last year thanks to Rossi.
This year Movistar will be Yamaha Factory teams title sponsor and Jorge Lorenzo is excited about it. Movistar is a Spanish owned mobile phone operator and could be the reason for the Spaniards excitement.
Yamaha have signed a 5 year contract with the Spanish company, which will provide stability to the team and riders. MotoGP will be on a pay-per-view package for Spain. Making it a great opportunity for Movistar to promote their broadband services.
Yamaha and Movistar will be showcasing the new livery with the Spanish companies logo just before the 2014 season kick off at Qatar in the coming week. It will be important to see how and where does Yamaha place Monster branding.
The team which Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo ride for will now be called Movistar Yamaha MotoGP. We will get you images of the new Yamaha MotoGP livery on 19th March.
