Suzuki India To Launch Gixxer On 10th August
Suzuki India had showcased its new 155cc motorcycle prior to the 2014 Auto Expo, which was held in New Delhi. Now after a long wait the Japanese manufacturer has opted to launch its Gixxer on the 10th of August, 2014.
The Japanese manufacturer has provided its Gixxer 150 with unique design elements. It looks apart from its competitors, owing to the designers from Suzuki. It sports a dial outlet exhaust with chrome tip, sculpted fuel tank, futuristic headlight, digital console and much more.
The Gixxer by Suzuki India will sport a 155cc single-cylinder engine. Japanese engineers have been able to extract 13.4 Nm of peak torque, along with 13.9 PS of maximum power from the air-cooled engine. The engine has been paired to a 6-speed gearbox and will sport Suzuki Eco Performance(SEP) to deliver superior fuel efficiency.

Suzuki India dealers have begun accepting bookings of its Gixxer. Deliveries can be expected to be post the official launch on 10th August, 2014. It is expected to come with a price tag of approximately INR 70,000 to INR 80,000 ex-showroom. It will enter a highly competitive market.
The Gixxer when launched will compete against the likes of Yamaha FZ, Hero Motocorp. CBZ Xtreme, TVS Apache and Honda's CB Trigger. Suzuki has not witnessed success with its prior model the GS 150R in India, however, is betting highly on its Gixxer.
