Royal Enfield Himalayan Odyssey 11th Edition Flagged Off
Royal Enfield's 11th edition of the Himalayan Odyssey has been flagged off. The journey began from India Gate in New Delhi on 21st June, 2014. It is a prestigious ride considered by the motorcycling fraternity.
This year over 72 riders will be taking part in the 11th Himalayan Odyssey by Royal Enfield. Their goal is to achieve 2700 kilometre in a matter of 17 days. They will ride on the world's highest motorable road Khardung La, which is situated at a height of 18,380 feet above sea level. The riders will also have to conquer three treacherous mountain ranges and passes.
Present at the flag off was Abhijit Singh Brar, Head Marketing, Royal Enfield, said, "The Royal Enfield Himalayan Odyssey is the ultimate motorcycling adventure that unites the rider with the bike and the terrain to create an experience of a lifetime."

He also said, "It is this love of pure motorcycling that brings riders together from all over the world and bond over their common passion of riding a Royal Enfield to the Himalayas. With each passing year a new set riders are initiated to this extraordinary expedition. Their successful completion of this journey has come to establish Royal Enfield as the definitive bike for riding to Ladakh."
Royal Enfield will be celebrating on 29th June, 2014, Himalayan Reunion. This will be the second edition of the Reunion and marks the ride to Ladakh. The Reunion will be held at Leh and riders of Himalayan Odyssey can unwind, relax, share their experience and stories.
There are several activities planned for the Himalayan Reunion. They consist of a musical extravaganza and many more activities and games involving motorcycles. Popular among the riders is the 'Slow Race' that test a rider's skill level. For riders who believe they have knowledge and skills regarding a motorcycle they can participate in 'Assembly Wars'.
Abhijit Singh Brar, Head Marketing, Royal Enfield, spoke about Royal Enfield Reunion, "The Royal Enfield Reunion, is a one of its kind motorcyclist get-together on top-of the world that celebrates the riders, the spirit of motorcycling and their journey to the Himalayas."
