The Bike Festival of India has organised a National Safety Ride, which will halt at major cities of India. The riders on Triumph motorcycles have made their way to Chennai. They began their journey from New Delhi, where the event was flagged off by Indian pacer Ishant Sharma.
So far the National Safety Ride has passed through Delhi Jaipur, Ajmer,Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vapi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Ooty, Mysore, Kochi and now Chennai. They plan to travel 8170 kilometres in a matter of 30 days.
The riders will continue their ride from Chennai, onwards to Hyderabad, Rajahmundry, Berhampur, Bhadrak and Kolkata. From there they will commence their journey to Dhanbad, Varanasi, Kanpur, Noida, Chandigarh and finally back to New Delhi.
The National Safety Ride has three female and six male riders, who will ride Triumph motorcycles. They plan to end their ride across India on 29th of September, 2014. The main event of Bike Festival of India will be held at Buddh International circuit on 4th and 5th of October, 2014.
The brand ambassador for Bike festival of India is Indian Cricket team captain MS Dhoni. The festival is expected to be a grand affair and is being portrayed as South Asia's largest bike festival. The festival is being organised by Rhiti Sports Management and Event Capital.
