MotoGP News Prior To Mugello GP
We all have witnessed the domination of reigning MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez on board his Repsol Honda. At the post race conference of Le Mans, France, Valentino Rossi admitted that Jorge Lorenzo is not at his best due to the Honda rider's race pace. No matter what the Movistar Yamaha rider experiments, nothing seems to be working in his favour.
The other news coming from MotoGP that we reported earlier is that Bridgestone will be parting ways with the premier class. Taking its place is French tyre company Michelin, they have been part of MotoGP earlier and know the importance of the partnership. They will enter the competition in 2016 and Michelin will be the only tyre manufacturer in MotoGP.
NGM Forward Racing's Aleix Espargaro hasn't been performing as he did in the opening rounds. There have been rumors of his future with the team, though he has a two year contract with them. Moto2 rider Simone Corsi was seen testing the NGM bike, he is expected to replace the retiring Colin Edwards. At the upcoming Mugello GP, the team will getting new goodies to see if it improves their fortunes. They will bring in a new chassis to improve the handling of their bike.
Ducati riders Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone have showed excellent pace in qualifying as well as in the race. However, at the recent Le Mans GP Andrea Iannone crashed out in the opening laps while Andrea Dovizioso finished eighth. Ducati Corse General Manager, Luigi Dall'lgna has responded that the team is going forward in the right direction and their main focus is the 2015-2016 championship.
The next race is scheduled in Italy at the Mugello circuit. Race Day will commence on 1st of June, 2014. Till then we are sure the riders will be thinking up and performing several simulations to pip the Rookie World Champion Marc Marquez.
