MotoGP 2014 Sachsenring Race Result
The race began in the most unusual of manner with a handful of riders on the race track. The 2014 Sachsenring circuit witness rainfall prior to the start of race. A few of the riders thought it would rain and opted for the wet tyres. However, they realised soon it wasn't wet enough and most of the riders headed back to pit lane and started from there.
Pole sitter-Marc Marquez, Dani Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo, Valentino Rossi and others started the race from the pit lane. Home hero Stefan Bradl on his LCR was lucky and was on slick tyres and started the race from his grid position. The German created a cushion between him and the others, however, the Factory powered Repsol Honda caught up with the satellite bike.
The 2014 Sachsenring lacked lustre as it had very little fight between the top riders. Marc Marquez continued his winning form and has won nine out of nine races. They now head into summer break with Repsol Honda's Marc Marquez most likely to win the championship.

The other riders this year are competing for second place in the championship. The likely contenders for second place are Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa and Movistar Yamaha's Valentino Rossi. However, Spaniard Pedrosa heads into summer break with a seven point lead over rival Rossi.
The best Ducati performer was Andrea Iannone onboard his Pramac Ducati. While top open class rider was once again Aleix Espargaro with his NGM Forward Racing bike. It will be great to see as this is the best moment for teams and riders to discuss about the future as most riders contract ends with this championship.
Valentino Rossi and Dani Pedrosa have signed a contract for a further two years with their current team. Jorge Lorenzo, Marc Marquez, Stefan Bradl and Alvaro Bautista have not received contract offers from their current teams.
Next year, the Suzuki Factory Team will be joining the paddock, however, they have not signed any rider yet. It is most likely that Randy de Puniet will get a Suzuki ride. Colin Edwards, who rides the NGM Forward Racing bike will be retiring at the end of the year and his ride will be vacant. It will be interesting to see who the team signs up.
