MotoGP News Prior To Race At Circuit Of The Americas
There is load of activity and new even before the MotoGP riders reach Circuit of The Americas. Everybody remembers the season opener at Qatar under floodlights, where an on track battle erupted between Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi. In this instance the current MotoGP Champion Marquez came on top.
Yamaha factory riders Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi will have to renew or search new teams for next year as their contracts are coming to an end. Lorenzo is rumored to join Ducati racing next year; however, the Italian manufactures switch to open class could change his decision. Based on Rossi's current form he believes and hints he would love to continue racing with Yamaha.
The Italian had decided that he would call it quits if he believes he isn't competitive against his competition and the fight at Losail has boosted his confidence tremendously. He stated that he would continue if Yamaha is willing to renew his contract.
Andrea Iannone was the best among the Ducati's in fourth position before he crashed. Iannone believes he can fight with the top runners and would love to once again compete with his rival Marc Marquez. He had a string of injuries last year and enters this years championship close to 100% and believes he can run with the top 5 riders.
Aleix Espargaro admitted he made a few unforced errors and maybe pressure got to him; however, he admits at the upcoming race at Circuit of The Americas, people better watch out for him. The Spanish rider admits he has the machinery to fight for podiums this year.
All this makes for better competition in the premier class of racing and is great for the fans and spectators. The upcoming race at Circuit of The Americas, will prove the true contenders for this years championship, as no one has practiced here so far, making it an even playing field. However, it has been noticed the track suits the Honda bikes more than other manufacturers.
