Mahindra Two Wheelers December Growth - 2013
Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd.(MTWL), part of Mahindra group, has grown by leaps and bound during the last month of 2013.
The Indian company has reported sale of 19,715 units, in the previous month. While domestic sales were 19,054 units, a growth of 267% over last year.
Growth is being achieved by Mahindra's Centuro, which has received an outstanding response. Mahindra has expanded production of the Centuro to meet high customer demands.
The Indian two wheeler manufacturer is not only growing sales numbers, it has also increased its service points to 1000. In an attempt to make the motorcycle accessible to remote place buyers.
"Mahindra Two Wheelers is closing 2013 on a high note as increasing demand for the Centuro helped to propel it into the ranks of the top 10 motorcycles in the country within just 6 months of its launch.", said Viren Popli, Executive Vice President, Mahindra Two Wheelers.
Mahindra's Centuro is powered by a MCi-5 (Micro Chip ignited-5 curve) engine. That matches power and fuel economy, it delivers 8.5 BHP of power @ 7500 rpm, 8.5 Nm of peak torque @ 5500 rpm. The bike returns an astronomical mileage figure of 85.4 kmpl (ARAI).
The commuter bike includes segment first anti theft alarm and an engine immobiliser, encrypted remote flip key, find me lamps and much more. Mahindra's Centuro features a digital dashboard with Distance-to-Empty (DTE) indicator, Service Reminder and Economy Mode indicator.
The Centuro has a lucrative price tag of Rs. 46,500 ex-showroom Delhi.
Mahindra plans to have a full range of bikes for the Indian two wheeler market. Their goal is to have a range of solutions that will cater to all type of Indian buyers.
