Kawasaki Ninja 250 RR Mono Single Cylinder; Unveiled In Indonesia

Kawasaki and Ninja so far have always been classified in the expensive segment however, costs are justified in the package being offered.

The Japanese manufacturer has unveiled it's new Ninja 250RR mono in Indonesia. The bikes speciality is that it will sport a 250cc engine however, it will utilise only a single cylinder. Hence, the name Mono.

With this product Kawasaki can target and offer the Indian consumer with their technology. So far though, the bike will be produced in Indonesia and will accept bookings by next month.

The Ninja 250RR mono will sport a 250cc mill and will generate 27.61BHP of power and 22.6 Nm of torque from the single cylinder. It will feature a DOHC configuration and will be fuel injected.

Kawasaki claims this bike will have a top speed of 153 km/hr, which will be achieved by the six speed gearbox. To transfer the power generated 110/80 R-17 ratio front tyres will be matched with 130/70 R-17 rear rubber.

The bike will have a new tube type diamond chassis. To help this beast stop 263mm disc will be provided in the front and a 193mm disc will be used to stop the rear tyre. However, there isn't any talk about ABS, which should atleast be an option. The bike will way not more than 151 Kgs.

The new Ninja will be fully faired and will feature a one piece headlight however, better looking than the previous model. The bike will also get an all digital dash and will be supplied around the world through Indonesia.

Kawasaki is looking at India as a highly potential market. The Ninja 250RR mono would be a great product to catch up with the others manufacturers. We expect this bike to be a sub 2 lakh bike when it comes to Indian shores.
