Kawasaki Launches Five New Models

Kawasaki has launched five new models in India. The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer launched five of their internationally sold bikes in association with Khivraj Group in Bangalore. The new bikes range from 800cc to 1400cc.

Kawasaki has brought the "Z" and the "Ninja" series here, which have been manufactured for over 30 years. Typically, a rider evolves over the years. They start with smaller bikes and gradually advance to bigger displacement bikes. Kawasaki too has evolved in the country, from offering bikes like the Ninja 300, the Ninja 650 and now to their bigger siblings.

The models launched are the Ninja ZX14R, Ninja ZX10R, Ninja 1000, Z1000 and the Z800. Mr. Shigeto Nishikawa, deputy Managing Director for Kawasaki India, said the company has studied the Indian market with all the feedback they received over the years. These bikes are really quick revving, weigh more than 200 kg and will give between 16 to 20 kpl. Kawasaki have specially altered these bikes to suit Indian road conditions.

He was also quoted as saying, "The market is ripe and we plan to go mass with work of art budget offerings while keeping in mind the dreams of the Indian youth."
