India Gets Fastest Bicycle In The World By Giant
Giant, a premium brand of bicycles and bike accessories has entered into Indiranagar, Bangalore. They have inaugurated its second experience centre with Starkenn Sports Pvt. Ltd., they are the only distributors and dealers for Giant in India.
The Experience Centre is spread across 3200 sqft. Present at the showroom will be bike simulators, bike spa, bike fit, bike library, bike cafe and the entire range of Giant bicycles. They have also launched the World's Fastest Bicycle in India, the Propel Advanced SL 0.
The Propel Advanced SL 0 is used by team Giant Shimano, that competed in the Tour de France. It was ridden by champion biker Marcel Kittel, he has won three of the eight races. The Giant Shimano team came fourth twice in the one of the world's toughest races.

Pravin V Patil, MD and CEO of Starkenn Sports commented, "The market of premium bicycles, although accounts for a little over 1% of the total bicycles sold in India annually, is growing over 4 times the industry average. With the Giant Starkenn Cycling World in the city, we want to indulge into Bangalore's growing affair with green wheels."
Anil Tiwari, CMD, Union Bank, present at the inauguration of Giant Starkenn Cycling World explained, "Cycling is growing as a part of one's daily activities. This trend is majorly seen in the metropolitan cities like Bangalore, Pune, Delhi etc."
He further added, "The motivation is to just let go of all worries and indulge in something that occupies your complete body and mind, unlike the treadmill routines. Even though the youth is the most attracted towards cycling, this activity is gradually growing across all ages as being physically fit is a realisation and need of many."

Currently the Indian bicycle markets stands at INR 2000 crore, it sells roughly 15.5 million bicycles every year. However, the premium bicycle market in India is not very big at roughly five percent of the total market. Starkenn has studied the market and found many youngsters are opting for cycling over other fitness options.
