Honda Plans To Sell The Most Bikes In 2015
Japanese two-wheeler giant Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India(HMSI), believes it can easily sell 4,500,000 motorcycles in the fiscal year 2014 to 2015. Their goal is to increase its sales by roughly 21 percent over the last fiscal year.
HMSI is confident it will achieve this years sales goal too. The Japanese manufacturer has cemented its position as India's second largest motorcycle manufacturer. To fulfill next fiscal's goal they will introduce another manufacturing facility.
The Japanese manufacturer currently has three facilities in India. Honda will be introducing a fourth facility in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. They currently have manufacturing units at Narsapur in Karnataka, Manesar in Haryana and Tapukara in Rajasthan.

Yadvinder S Guleria, HMSI Vice President-Sales and Marketing told our source, "Honda achieved highest ever sales of 37.21 lakh units in 2013-14. The target for the current fiscal is to sell around 45 lakh units with a growth of 21 per cent."
Honda knows there is a huge demand in India for its scooters and motorcycles. The new facility should bring down the waiting period of its scooters and motorcycles considerably. The Japanese manufacturer had increased its dealer network to 800 last year. Their goal is to reach 1000 dealerships within 2014.
Yadvinder S Guleria also said, "As a good corporate citizen Honda understands its responsibility to contribute towards road safety promotion and this Park is a significant step towards meeting our commitment of making 'safe riding' an everyday habit of all two Wheeler riders."
