Hero MotoCorp Paying Attention To Telangana And Andhra Pradesh

India's largest two wheeler manufacturer and seller Hero MotoCorp had earlier reported it would be setting up a new facility in South of India. The two most viable candidates or locations for the manufacturer are Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

The new facility in South of India will be Hero MotoCorp's sixth plant across the nation. The six facilities together will be capable of manufacturing over 12 million motorcycles and scooter in a year. The Indian manufacturer had earlier set a goal of producing 10 million vehicles post 2017.

Telangana and Andhra Pradesh state official have been in constant touch with Hero MotoCorp. All demands for the facility will be meet by both the states. They have even suggested suitable sites for the manufacturer.

The state of Andhra Pradesh has nominated SriCity situated in Chittoor and Nellore district which is closer to Chennai. Telangana on the other hand will be offering premises close to Mahindra's Tractor facility in Zaheerabad, Madak district.

Hero MotoCorp spokesperson told source, "Mr Chandrababu Naidu did speak to Mr. Pawan Munjal earlier this week. We have been talking to several states for our proposed new plant in southern India and our teams are currently scouting for a suitable location. We are hoping to take a final call on this very soon."

Hero MotoCorp currently has huge plans for the brand. They currently have three manufacturing facilities in full swing located at Haridwar, Gurgaon and Dharuhera. They have two more manufacturing plants being setup in Rajasthan and Gujarat.
