Hero MotoCorp New Facility Coming Up In Karnataka
Hero MotoCorp is India's largest selling two wheeler manufacturer. They have huge global as well as domestic plans for expansion. They recently set the foundation stone for their new facility in Colombia. In India they are talking to the Karnataka government to set up their new facility.
The Indian two wheeler manufacturer plans to set it new plant at Mummigatti near Dharwad, Northern Karnataka. Hero MotoCorp will need 300 acres of land to build its new facility in Karnataka. The new facility will require an investment of INR 1,450 crore, however, it will be capable of manufacturing over 1.8 million two wheelers annually.
This is good news for the Karnataka government as a new facility will require new employees. Hero Motocorp believes they will be creating job opportunities for over 25,000 individuals in Karnataka. Since, the local government will be benefitting from the proposition, thus Hero MotoCorp are expecting certain benefits and incentives.

Hero MotoCorp will new be the first manufacturing facility in the area of Mummigatti. The largest Indian two wheeler manufacturer will be the sixth in the area. Currently the Karnataka government has confirmed providing only water supply along with electricity.
Hero Motocorp will utilise their new facility to boost their current production number. However, they will also utilise the manufacturing unit to build their new line up of two wheelers. Hero MotoCorp had earlier asked for 500 acres of land, however, the Karnataka has been able to provide only 300 acres along with 100 acres for other purposes.
