Hero MotoCorp Enters Colombia With Six Motorcycles
India's largest two-wheeler manufacturer and seller Hero MotoCorp is exploring new avenues. Their plan is to enter new markets and become a larger global player. They have technical back up from EBR, who is US based two-wheeler manufacturer.
Hero MotoCorp recently had announced it's plan to achieve 1.2 million two-wheeler sales by 2020. To achieve this goal they are entering several new and emerging markets. The Indian manufacturer has commenced its Colombian operations.
The Indian manufacturer has entered Colombia with an array of products. Hero MotoCorp has introduced their Splendor iSmart, Eco Deluxe, Passion Pro, Glamour, Hunk and their Karizma ZMR models to expand their market. The manufacturer has announced they will have roughly 120 dealerships within Colombia.
Hero MotoCorp has taken the first step forward in their global plans. They plan to offer their two-wheeler in Europe as well as the United States of America by 2015 and 2016 respectively. The Indian manufacturer will set up their facility in Colombia and ship their products to neighbouring companies.
The Indian manufacturer has commenced construction of their state of the art facility in Colombia. Hero MotoCorp is the only Indian manufacturer to have their facility in Latin America. Their goal is to have in excess of 20 facilities in over 50 countries by 2020.
In the last three year Hero MotoCorp has grown significantly. They currently have global presence in east and west Africa, along with central and south America as well as Asia. They offer their two-wheelers in over 20 countries across these areas.
