Harley LiveWire To Debut In Avengers Age Of Ultron

Harley Davidson had recently unveiled their first electric project named 'LiveWire'. The American motorcycle is popular and has been used in several movies. Even Marvel comic book character Captain America uses a Harley Davidson. In the latest edition of the Avengers series 'Age of Ultron', he will be riding the electric prototype.

The bike adorns Captain America's shield up front, in place of the headlight. Surprisingly, in most parts of the movie the electric prototype by Harley Davidson will be ridden by the character Black Widow played by Scarlett Johansson. It will be interesting to note what sort of audio track will they play for the electric motorcycle.

Harley's LiveWire being an electric powered motorcycle will have no engine noise like a screaming in-line four or an upbeat V-twin mill. The bike was displayed with the Avenger's livery at the Comic-Con held in San Diego. It has still not been confirmed how big a role the motorcycle will have in the movie.

The LiveWire by Harley Davidson is an attempt to bring new customers to the brand. The initiative of going green is an added motivation to opt for the brand. It is surely going to be difficult for most traditionally loving motorcyclists to adapt to the zero emission and no-noise motorcycle from the American icon.

Harley Davidson have provided its LiveWire with a three phase AC induction electric mill. It will generate 74 horsepower along with 70 Nm of peak torque. It will sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in four seconds flat, claims the American manufacturer. The electric motorcycle will have a decent range of 50 miles. However, it will be a while before the LiveWire goes into production, as this is currently a test and feedback stage.
