Harley Davidson Street 750 The Best Seller

Harley Davidson had revealed their Indian-made Street 750 to the public in January 2014 at the India Bike Week. The American cult bike has witnessed stellar success and has been their best seller.

The Street 750 by Harley Davidson was instantly accepted by both developing as well as developed markets. The America-based manufacturer of cult cruisers has reported that the Street 750 accounts to 60% of their total sales.

Harley Davidson launched the Street 750 at an attractive price of INR 4,27,230 (ex-showroom Mumbai). It was launched in February at the 2014 Auto Expo in Greater Noida, New Delhi. Since then it has accounted to 60% of total sales in the month of April, 2014.

The American manufacturer reported selling 361 cruisers in the month of April, 2014, out of which they sold 210 Street 750s, accounting ot 60% of total sales. In the same month in 2013, the American motorcycling icon reported selling 146 motorcycles in the country.

Harley Davidson has 13 dealerships in India and it is the second country after Brazil to have its own CKD facility. The bikes that will be assembled in India would be the Street 750 and Street 500, said Harley Davidson Motor Co President and COO Matthew Levatich.

Harley Davidson offers Indian buyers 13 models. The Street 750 is their most humble offering out of their wide range of customisable motorcycles. Their offering ranges from INR 4.27 lakh to INR 29 lakh.

It is great news that the built in India Street 750 is doing a great job for India. Harley Davidson is planning on getting tanks and fenders manufactured in India for both the Street 750 and Street 500 models. This means they will almost completely manufacture the bike in India.
