CEAT Pune Invitational Supercross League 2014 Dates Announced
The stage is being set for India's biggest Supercross event till date. This is the third edition of CEAT Pune Invitational Supercross League. For the first time in motorsport history riders will be going under the hammer.
The riders auction is scheduled to be held on 2nd November, 2014 in Pune, Maharashtra. This year there will an option from 40 national riders and eight international riders for teams to select from.
So far, six teams have confirmed their participation in the Supercross League. They are Aranha Racing, Bhalla Royale, BU Bhandari, San Racing, SP High rollers and Team Amanora Park Town. All team owners are from Pune, which is considered the Mecca of Supercross racing in the country.
This year the league will be held in different locations. It will commence in Nashik at Kute Supercross track on 8th and 9th November, 2014. The next round will be held in Kolhapur at Mohite Racing Academy on 15 and 16th November, 2014. The finale will be held in Pune from 12th to 14th of December, 2014.
Eeshan Lokhande, former international rider and now Event Director & Partner, Vilo Events said, "As a sport, Supercross is gaining in popularity in India, support and facilities to the riders have started coming up at various locations. It's time to give the riders and spectators along with the sponsor a better platform for racing."
He further added, "Good tracks, facilities, wide range of branding for sponsors and last but not the least a lot of respect to the riders. Ceat Pune Invitational Supercross League promises to do the same. The sport has given us a lot, and now it's time to give back to the sport. As an event we have come a long way from its inception back in 2012."
