Bajaj 200SS Caught Testing Prior To Launch
The Indian manufacturer Bajaj has been teasing everyone by showcasing the Pulsar 400SS and 400CS at the 2014 Auto Expo held in New Delhi. Bajaj manufacturer its vehicle at its Chakan facility in Pune, Maharashtra. The bike is being tested almost everyday in city as well as open roads.
Now everyone expected the motorcycle to be launched, however, Bajaj has delayed the launch of its first full faired motorcycle. There were rumors floating around that the 200SS had reached showrooms. Post that rumour there has been no sighting of the bike in any dealership.
Bajaj will be providing the 200SS with a 200cc mill, which will sport the Indian manufacturer's patented technology of triple spark plugs. It is the same engine used in the 200NS and will produce 18.3 Nm of peak torque along with a maximum power output of 23.52 PS. The engine will paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.

The major difference between the 200SS and 200NS will be mainly the fairing. Bajaj is rumoured to provide the 200SS with fuel injection as well as ABS, which is not available on the 200NS. The exhaust system on the 200NS is an underbelly exhaust, while the 200SS will sport a mid can muffler.
The 200SS by Bajaj will look distinctively apart from the 200NS. It will sport split two-up seats, dual projector headlights, Daytime Running Lights will use LED system and the exhaust can will not be hidden underneath the bike. We believe Bajaj will now launch the 200SS during the festive season.
