Aprilia Unveil Their RSV4 RR & RSV4 RF Models At 2014 EICMA
Italian superbike manufacturer Aprilia recently was crowned the 2014 World Superbike Championship winner. Aprilia won this year with Sylvain Guintoli on board, who won the championship, while team mate Marco Melandri finished fourth in the championship.
The 2014 EICMA show is currently taking place in Milan, Paris. Several manufacturers like Ducati, Yamaha and Kawasaki have brought new products to showcase to visitors. Aprilia too had two interesting new products to boast about.
The Italian manufacturer has pulled covers of their RSV4 RR and RSV4 RF models. The design language of this motorcycle has not been altered with and maintains its superbike persona. But there are several minute details of the motorcycle that have been revamped for a more premium appeal.

The front fairing has been redesigned for better aerodynamics. The Italian engineers have reworked on headlamps and have incorporated LED parking lights. The turn indicators have been moved up into the mirrors and have used LED lights.
The 2015 superbike gets a 999.6 cc engine within a V4 configuration. Italian engineers have been successful in extracting 201 horsepower, along with 115 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed cassette type gearbox.
Aprilia has also worked on their aPRC electronic package to improve the riding experience of this new motorcycle. The exhaust system has also been reworked for an improved fuel efficiency. The superbike will be available in Black Ascari, Bucine Grey, however, the RR model will only be available in matte options.
The Italian manufacturer will offer a ‘Race Pack', which will get lightweight forged aluminium wheels and adjustable Ohlins suspension. The RSV4 RF model by Aprilia is a limited edition and only 400 of them will be made. It will sport WSBK Superpole livery, along with the Race Pack as standard equipment.
