Hero MotoCorp Karizma, Splendor Pleasure Among 15 New Models Showcased
This was expected, but big news nevertheless. India's largest two wheeler maker, Hero MotoCorp has showcased its 2014 product lineup. This includes a total of 15 new models, most of which consist of existing models, but with major updates to design and technological features.
Furthermore, Pawan Munjal, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer has announced that at the India Auto Expo in Feb 2014 the company will reveal brand new models built on new platforms. Click through the slides to learn about the new Hero two wheelers which will debut in the coming months.
Splendor iSmart with i3S Tech
i3S, standing for Idle Stop and Start System, will make its debut in the new Splendor iSmart. It will be India's first two wheeler to get Start/Stop technology, a feature that cuts engine power during idling and starts it automatically as you twist the throttle. The tech should improve fuel economy significantly.
Next-gen Pleasure automatic scooter
The next-gen Pleasure automatic scooter will feature 'Integrated Braking System'. This is the same as Combo Braking system which features in Honda's automatic scooters. The tech improves braking performance by applying both brakes even when the rider pulls just one of the levers. 'Integrated Braking System' will spread to other Hero scooters.

In addition, the new Pleasure scooter will get added features such as mobile charger socket, lockable glove box, boot light in luggage box, combination ignition lock with seat opening and side stand indicator among others.
Next-gen CBZ Xtreme
The 150cc premium motorcycle will introduce Electronic Immobiliser to Hero two-wheeler lineup. This is an anti-theft tech that prevents the bike from being started without the correct key. The bike will also get Side Stand Switch with automatic ignition cut-off, a new design, fresh graphics, LED tail light with light guides and even a mobile charger socket
Next gen 223cc Karizma R & ZMR
The new Karizma will come with a host of technological improvements that Hero has gained from its international technological partners and partner, Erik Buell Racing in the past couple of years. Specifics relating to performance have not been revealed just yet.

However, the Karizma duo will also come sporting a brand new look that consists of twin headlight, new sporty handle bar, new race-inspired belly pan, muscular front fender, new muffler cover, bulb winker, sporty seating, new side and front fairing, wider tyres among others.

All new HF Deluxe Eco: Stylised air foils on leg guards; stylish aero mirrors which helps in lowering the air resistance at higher speeds; tyres with low rolling friction.
New 100-cc Splendor Pro & 125-cc Super Splendor: New graphics, dial design and side stand indicator among others.
Next-gen 100cc Passion Pro: Side-stand indicator; service reminder and stylish all-black saree guard. Also new are fresh graphics, new dial design and new body colour among other exterior enhancements.
And lastly..Next-gen Glamour & Glamour FI: Fresh racy graphics and dial design.
