Kawasaki Z1000 India Launch Confirmed For December 23rd
2014 Kawasaki Z1000, the naked sports bike based on the liter class Ninja will be launched in India on December 23, as announced by the Japanese two wheeler manufacturer.
The Z1000 was unveiled by Kawasaki at this year's international motorcycle show, EICMA, in Milan, Italy. Designed based on the Japanese Sugomi design philosophy, the Z1000 features aggressive design lines and plenty of muscle.

The primary design change differentiating the 2014 Z1000 from the older model is the redesigned headlamp unit. Besides sporting a different, more aggressive look, the head unit also features LED lights. A first for any production Japanese motorcycle.
Besides the several technical updates over the outgoing model, the new Z1000 also gets a slightly larger, 17 liter fuel tank, which contributes towards an overall weight increase of approximately 3 kg. With the new bike Kawasaki will offer ABS as standard, whereas it was an optional upgrade in the previous iteration.
2014 Kawasaki Z1000 is powered by a 1,043cc, four cylinder, liquid cooled engine that generates 140 HP at 10,000 rpm and 111 Nm of torque at 7,300 rpm. For more details and images of the new Z1000 read our previous story from the link provided above.
Bookings for the 2014 Kawasaki Z1000 has already begun. The liter class naked sports is expected to go for an asking price between INR 13-14 lakhs. Kawasaki Z1000 will be sold in India by Bajaj Auto at dedicated showrooms.
