Piaggio Fly 125 Scooter Set To Launch Soon
Piaggio had re-entered scooter market in the country with the premium Vespa LX125 recently. The Vespa life style scooter has been highly priced and now, to draw sales volumes, the company is planning to launch another scooter - Fly 125cc. Motorbeam has revealed that Piaggio will launch the 125cc version of the Fly which it currently sells in the international market with a 150cc engine.

company
hopes
the
Fly
125cc
to
give
it
an
upper
hand
in
the
segment
by
taking
on
the
likes
of
best
selling
scooters
-
Honda
Activa,
Suzuki
Access
and
Swish.
The
scooter
which
is
already
on
sale
in
other
markets
is
expected
to
be
launched
in
India
in
the
next
couple
of
months.
The Fly 125cc will be powered by the same engine fitted on the Vespa. Fuel economy will be the strongest point of the engine which produces around 10 BHP of peak power and 10 Nm of peak torque.
The Piaggio Fly 125 gets telescopic forks at the front and hydraulic shock absorbers with pre-load adjuster at the rear. The scooter features drum brakes with front disk brake available as an option. There is no other information available as of now. Expect the scooter to be priced around Rs 50,000.
