Riding on the success of the recently launched Duro DZ, the Mahindra Two Wheelers is planning to launch yet another scooter - the powerful, stylish, fully loaded Rodeo RZ 125cc automatic scooter in select markets this month. This is the updated 2012 version of the Rodeo which has already been there in the market.
Low fuel efficiency was one issue that has been complained about the Rodeo and Mahindra is expected to address this issue in the new model. Expect the refreshed model to be priced around Rs 45,000.
Commenting on the launch of the new scooter, Mahindra Two Wheelers Marketing, Sales and Customer Care Senior V.P. Mr. Viren Popli said: “We are really excited about the upcoming launch of our new scooter – the Rodeo RZ. It is a powerful, high performance scooter that is loaded with a range of exciting unique features. It is sure to be an instant hit amongst young, modern couples who would love riding this zippy, stylish scooter.”
Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd (MTWL), a part of the US $ 15.4 billion Mahindra Group, continued to build its presence in the two wheeler segment. The company’s cumulative scooter sales from April to May 2012 stood at 19,287 units. Sales in May 2012 were 9096 units.
The cumulative sales for the company have crossed a landmark figure of three lakh units, with both the Rodeo and Duro scooter brands having a franchise of more than one lakh consumers across the country.
