India will be hosting one round of the World Superbike (WSBK) Championship, scheduled for March 2013. The motorsport stage is getting bigger in India. Jaypee Sports International Limited (JPSI) has acquired exclusive TV rights from Infront Sports & Media, the promoter and organizer of the FIM WSBK. The contract acquired is a four year deal, which has effect till 2016 and will cover Indian territory.
JPSI is permitted to resell the non-exclusive TV rights to the broadcasters for other non-India WSBK races. On the hand, JPSI is permitted to resell the TV rights of the main race along with the support races to Indian broadcasters.
