India will be hosting one round of the World Superbike (WSBK) Championship, scheduled for March 2013. The motorsport stage is getting bigger in India. Last year, we witnessed Formula 1 exploding at the Buddh international circuit. In 2013, India is gearing up for international motorcycle circuit racing.
Jaypee Sports International Limited (JPSI) has acquired exclusive TV rights from Infront Sports & Media, the promoter and organizer of the FIM WSBK. The contract acquired is a four year deal, which has effect till 2016 and will cover Indian territory.
JPSI is permitted to resell the non-exclusive TV rights to the broadcasters for other non-India WSBK races. On the hand, JPSI is permitted to resell the TV rights of the main race along with the support races to Indian broadcasters.
