Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) is aiming to become the number one in product quality, market share and customer satisfaction. The Japanese firm which recently launched the Dream Yuga commuter bike has launched an India specific three pronged Corporate Direction at an event in Bangalore.
Mr. Tomoaki Nagayama - Dy,Director,Sales & Marketing,HMSI who elaborated Honda's new corporate strategy said the Dream Yuga was an important vehicle for Honda and added that the bike offered everything an urban commuter would expect from an entry level motorcycle.
Mr Nagayama unveiled Honda's new brand statement - The Power OF Dreams' in Indian languages. He also spoke about Honda's new brand ambassador Akshay Kumar. He said Akshay Kumar was the perfect brand ambassador to Honda as he was a self made star who was driven by his dreams.
Honda also stressed about its association with the word dream. Several Honda motorcycles starting from the 1949 Dream D have carried this name and the Dream Yuga is the latest one. The Honda Dream Yuga has been priced below Rs.50k making it ab affordable motorcycle. The Dream Yuga's features such as the tubeless tyres was a first in its segment.
Honda which is setting up its third manufacturing plant near Bengaluru has big expectations from the Dream Yuga. The new bike is expected to sell as many as 3 lakh units this year. Honda is confident its mass market motorcycle will attract buyers who previously would opt for a Hero Honda. Honda has stated that it is the only company in India which can use the Honda brand after it ended its joint venture.
