India's most affordable performance bikes
Performance bikes are equipped by large powerful engines and light aerodynamic bodies that will help them reach mind boggling speeds within seconds. While most performance bikes in the world cost well above Rs.10 lakhs, we Indians are fortunate to have our own affordable yet performance driven motorbikes. We shall have a look at each of these bikes in detail.
Hero Honda ZMR
The Hero Honda (HeroMoto) Karizma is India's first performance motorcycle and is still revered by motor enthusiasts for its speed and performance. Powered by a perfectly tuned 223cc air-cooled engine that can generate 17.6bhp of power and 18.35 Nm of torque, the Karizma can offer a top quality drive. While its speed is not the highest in its segment, the Kariszma compensates it with high levels of handling and ride quality.
Hero Honda launched an updated and sportier variant called the Karizma ZMR. The ZMR is equipped with PGM-FI, full fairing and a digital console along with several bells and whistles as standard equipment.
The Kariszma's trump card is its design. With a huge headlight cover and body panels the Karizma has the looks of a performance bike. This motorcycle from India's leading two wheeler manufacturer has a starting price of RS.74,000 while the ZMR version costs Rs.91,000.
