Zonda Revolucion Reportedly Breaks Nurburgring Lap Record
The Pagani Zonda may have passed away in 2013, but the last ever Zonda, the track only Zonda Revolucion is still shouting out in anger at the world.
The Revolucion features the same 6-litre twin turbo engine found in the Zonda R but it makes 789bhp and 730Nm of Torque which pushes it to 100km/h in 2.6 seconds. Adding to the madness is an active DRS system. The latest news on this ballistically bonkers version of an already certified mental car is that it has taken away the Nurburgring lap record for a car based on a production car from the Zonda R.
gtspirit.com is reporting that the Revolucion lapped the green hell in six minutes and 30 seconds. That time is 17 seconds faster than the Zonda R and just under 19 seconds off the all time record of 6:11.13 st by Stefan Bellof in the Porsche 956 race car.
However, Pagani has yet to confirm the news, though an image of the Revolucion wearing a 6:30 time with the Nurburgring map decal has been making the round of social media.
