Flaming Idiot — Woman Ignites Car's Frozen Fuel Cap At Petrol Pump

Cars and freezing temperatures are not things that gel well together. Defrosting any part of a car is a delicate procedure and is something that should be done very carefully.

Unfortunately the lady in the video above must not have gotten that memo. Stopping to fill up at a gas station in in Surgut, Russia, she found that the inner fuel cap of her Ford Focus had frozen over.

Rather than doing something sensible, the mad lady decided the best way to do a little defrosting was by using a lighter with the fuel hose still in position. The lady survived her attempt at her Morons R Us certified DIY fix but her Focus lit up (which should have dealt with the little defrosting problem).

The person filming the video with his car's dashcam did the sensible thing and made a hasty exit but not before calling the madwoman a durak (idiot in Russian).
