Watch Abu Dhabi Cops Close A Highway To Rescue A Kitten
DG of Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Colonel Mohammad Abdul Jaleel Al Ansari said that his team “always deals with such incidents seriously by upholding the humanitarian and animal welfare principles.”
Four lanes of traffic on a busy highway in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were closed by Abu Dhabi Police due to a serious emergency concerning kitten.
The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense team was called by an anxious citizen who reported that a stranded black kitten on Shaikh Zayed Street. The Highway is the longest road in the UAE and is the main entry and exit for many main cities in the region.
The team joined forces with Abu Dhabi Police in the quest to rescue the stranded kitten. The situation became grave when the kitten crossed over to the median of the road.
In the video, one of the men of the Civil Defense team is seen cautiously approaching the cat and picking it up. Once the kitten was rescued, it's taken to one of the three response vehicles on the scene.
This video has more than 2.7 million views on Gulf News' Facebook page and over 34,000 shares.
