Volkswagen Ameo Spotted Testing Under Mild Camouflage - Spy Pics
Volkswagen's upcoming sub-compact sedan has been spotted testing under some mild camouflage. The sub-four metre sedan, is rumoured to be named the Ameo.
The Ameo borrows quite a few details from its VW siblings, the Polo hatchback and the Vento Sedan. the headlamps look like the same double-barreled units seen in both the Polo and the Vento.
The rear profile of the vehicle is stubby to get under the four metre barrier and the tail lamps look similar to the units found on the VW Vento.
The Volkswagen Ameo is expected to use the 1.2-liter three-cylinder MPi petrol engine and the 1.5-liter four-cylinder TDI diesel engine. Also expected to carry over is the five speed manual gearbox. The automatic DSG gearbox may be offered as an optional extra as well.
The Volkswagen Ameo is expected to be launched at the 2016 Auto Expo in February.
