Vehicle Owner Supports ISIS Through Fancy Number Plate
Fancy number plates are common throughout the world. Indians however, take it to the next level by introducing some illusions and creativity into their vehicle registration numbers. Majority of them look silly and other will just put a smile on your face.
Now the Lucknow Police is now on the lookout for a private vehicle that has a number plate that has 'ISIS' (Islamic State of Iraq & Syria) written on it. We too are surprised that someone in India would sport a number plate that advertises 'ISIS'.
The number that looks like 'ISIS' is most likely to be 1515. The fancy number is seen on a Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. It is confirmed that the vehicle's complete registration is UP 32 HA 1515, which is registered in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
VAHAN, an e-vehicle registration service confirms that the owner of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is Shabana Bano. Use of fancy number plates and manipulating numbers to look like a word is banned by the Regional Transport Office or RTOs.
