Vaughn Gittin Jr. is one of professional drifting's most well known and respected drivers and he is known for his pedal to the metal extremely smokey drifting smoky style.

Gittin Jr. is also the creator of the Mustang RTR, which is what he envisions a Mustang should be. The RTR pack in available in the form of a dealer-installed package is currently available in select Ford dealerships around the world.

Gittin Jr.'s own drifting Mustang RTR is a thing of beauty that loves to slay tyres all the time and Gittin uses the beast to compete in Formula D.

Powering Gittin's 2016 Monster Energy Nitto Tire Ford Mustang RTR is a 7.1-litre Ford Performance/ Roush Yates-built V8 engine that revs to 9,000 RPM and develops around 900bhp.

Sending the power to smoke the rear wheels is a 4-speed manual gearbox.

The drifting Mustang is also very light at just 1,270 kilograms thanks to carbon-fibre body panels.

The craziness of the car is described best by Gittin on his website. "These cars are essentially 9-second drag cars that are setup for drifting," he said.
