5 Ugly Cars Sold In India Right Now
Cars are something lovely to look at if the design is done right. Cars such as the McLaren P1, Ferrari F12, Koenigsegg One:1 are some very good examples of well-designed cars that are on sale currently.
Even in the Indian market, cars such as the Honda Jazz, Mercedes-Benz A-Class, Hyundai Elantra are some good examples of well-designed cars.
Then come a few that leaves you wondering—what was the designer thinking of, or who designed that car? On our list, we take a look at some ugly or rather not so well-designed cars, purely based on looks.
1. Tata Nano
The Nano may be small, fuel efficient, and the best car for the city. But, why would you want to travel looking like what a bug had for lunch? The design, coupled with a slow and noisy engine ensures everybody gets a good look, at your bug-ish drive.
Hyundai i10
A good look at the car's front makes one feel sorry for the car. The i10 has a very sober looking fascia, like a Pug with big, round eyes, and two really small ears. Regarding design, the i10 scores poorly on the design scale.
Maruti Suzuki Stingray
Looks like Maruti wanted to attract a younger audience with the Stingray. The designers thought, giving it an oomph-kind-of-design was the way to go. The plan was good, but was poorly executed and ended up giving the Wagon R a pair of spectacles! Whoever designed this car had nothing more than a scale. A "boxy!" car does not attract young buyers.
Renault Scala
The whole idea of more space in the cabin will result in the car having a long wheelbase. But, that doesn't mean one runs out of design ideas! The front of the Scala is designed well, however, when you get to the rear of the car, it looks like people in charge ran out of ideas!
Tata Manza
The name ‘Manza' and ‘the club class sedan' sound fancy, until you see the car. The Manza has the worst design ever; looks like the designers had an argument and decided to split the car into four parts, one part for each designer.
