Traffic Takes Away Nine Days Of Your Life in China
A recent study by TomTom about traffic in China has revealed a very interesting fact. An average person spends the equivalent of nine working days in traffic. China has the fastest growing economy. As the Organisation for Economic Cooperation in China says, more than 250 million people would have moved to urban areas by 2030.
As a result, there are more cars being sold, that increases traffic. Restricting registration of cars and building new roads were few of the measures taken by the Chinese to reduce congestion. Traffic is still a big issue.
TomTom, one of the biggest satellite navigation providers, carried out this research. They are now trying to educate drivers by giving them accurate traffic information so drivers will know which roads to take when during the day.
