India has seen many four-wheeler manufacturers entering India in the last few years. Few brands like Audi took over the luxury car market leadership from already existing brands like Mercedes and BMW.
But some of them despite losing their top position in the market, strategically made it back to the top. Other carmakers though enjoy a very comfortable position which they have earned over a long period of time, although the brand may not be considered very exciting.
So how do they stand when carmakers are rated based on how exciting they are? Let's take a look at the top 10 most exciting four-wheeler brands in India:
At number ten comes Skoda. The first brand to genuinely give India a taste of modern day performance with extremely good build quality. The Skoda Rapid is the brand's best seller, although there was a hatchback on offer.
9. Maruti Suzuki:
Taking the ninth sport is one of India's largest carmaker and the brand that sells the best-Maruti Suzuki. Affordability, efficiency and ease of service is what makes this brand sell the best. It was the first brand to bring automated manual transmission to the mass market at a very affordable price and its service network is unmatchable!
Audi comes in at number 8. From the entry level A3 sedan to the R8, it offers a huge range to chose from. The brand frequently organises drives and events to keep its customers engaged and recently even launched the RS7 in India. Audi has plans to launch more vehicles this year, which is exciting news for many!
7. Land Rover:
Tata owned Land Rover takes the seventh spot. This brand too was accepted in the market very quickly. The SUVs made by the company sell like hot cakes in a few parts of India. The entire range offers good performance, good off-road capability and luxury, although the top of the line models are expensive.
At number six in our list of the top 10 most exciting car brands in India is Hyundai. The Elite i20 that launched was a stunner! The company has had a good growth in India and has grown so much since it launched its first vehicle here, the Santro.
Number 5 spot goes to another Tata Motors owned brand-Jaguar. The brand offers cars that deliver very good performance and ultra exclusive luxury. The Jaguar XE, XF, XJ, F-Type and the F-Pace are available in the Indian market.
Toyota, another mas selling brand in India. The company started its success with the Qualis and the Corolla and Innova soon followed to be very good sellers in India. One of the biggest, meanest SUVs, the Land Cruiser V8 is also on sale here.
Honda takes the third spot. The only manufacturer who fought the market with petrol engines alone and was the last to bring in diesel engine. The petrol engines are just bulletproof with top class efficiency. The company has now entered the MPV segment with the Mobilio, while the Honda City continues to be the company's best seller.
Although many would fancy a black Audi, BMW is a brand that is more exciting compared to its German competitor. Having a cricket legend as the company's brand ambassador and also organising events to experience the thrill of owning a BMW, makes this an exciting brand.
Another German company again, but who has been in India for a long time now. Cutting edge technology, safety and a car in every segment a person could possibly think of. The Three Pointed Star surely wipes away the dream of owning four circles or anything else for that matter.
