A three day ban on all vehicles (except public transport) in the Italian city of Milan has gone into effect today, December 28, 2015. The three day ban has been imposed to bring down the worrying pollution levels in the city.
The ban is in effect from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. local time. To help locals get to work, the city is offering a 1.50 euro ticket which will allow them to use any form of public transport for a day.
The Italian capital of Rome is also enforcing similar restrictions on cars and bikes until Wednesday, December 30, 2015.
