Tata Nexon Involved In Head-On Collision In Siliguri
A prototype of the upcoming Nexon compact SUV was involved in a head-on collision in Siliguri.
A prototype of the upcoming Tata Nexon was involved in a head-on collision with a tractor near the city of Siliguri in West Bengal.
According to the Siliguri Times, the Nexon prototype had arrived in the city for the company's Mumbai offices for advertorial purposes. The camouflaged car collided head-on with a tractor loaded sand in Peeprithan area under the Kurlakote Police Station.
The crash left the car severely damaged, with the rear left tyre bent out of shape and what appears to be a severely damaged bonnet. Thankfully, the occupants of the Nexon were not seriously injured. However, the crash did leave a bystander who was standing next to his bike, severely injured.
Locals rushed the injured victims to the nearby Thakurganj Hospital where they were treated for their injuries. The local police later arrived at the crash site and took over the scene after receiving information about the crash.
The Nexon is expected to be launched in India later this year and is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine along with an all-new 1.5-litre diesel engine.
