Truck Carrying Takata Airbag Parts Explodes
According to various reports, a woman was killed in an explosion on Monday morning involving a truck carrying Takata airbag detonation triggers.
Reports suggest that 69-year-old Lucila Robles was killed in her home following the explosion that happened in front of the house.
Takata, the company, now known for its defective airbag that led to 13 confirmed deaths, and one of the largest recalls in history, operates a facility in Texas, which is where the truck exploded.
The debris from the exploded truck was reportedly found up to a mile from where it had exploded, and ten houses around it were damaged.
The Texas Department of Safety is yet to reveal the actual cause of the explosion. The officials are sure that the explosion wasn't caused by a collision.
