Skoda Octavia With Brake ‘Ass’ Power — Gets Towed By Donkeys In Public
A Skoda Octavia was pulled by donkeys in India after an angry customer took this extreme measure for trouble he was facing.
Cars or carmakers being humiliated in public is nothing new, as vehicle owners have had their cars towed by donkeys in the past, like the Land Cruiser, Jaguar, and even a Mercedes-Benz, due to unsatisfactory terms. The latest is a Skoda Octavia that was towed by donkeys in public.
The incident happened in Punjab, where two donkeys were made to pull a new generation Skoda Octavia through a busy market place. The owner of the car took the extreme measure after the company failed to fix an issue with the car, which kept breaking down regularly.
The customer was frustrated after multiple failed attempts by Skoda Service to fix the Octavia. The customer also contacted the dealer head and the Zonal office of Skoda but was not satisfied. We sincerely hope Skoda looks into this matter and find a fix.
Moving on, Skoda launched the new facelifted Rapid in India with an updated petrol engine, and below is a detailed image gallery.
ADDENDUM
Skoda issued an official statement regarding the incident. A Skoda spokesperson said, "The examination conducted by the SKODA technical team reveals that the car specifications have been altered by the customer which has led to invalidating the SKODA warranty. The modifications have resulted in consequential damage and the SKODA warranty states that the manufacturer is not responsible for any aftermarket fitments to the vehicle. Customer service is our number one priority; we always have and will continue to provide full cooperation to the customer to ensure the car is roadworthy at the earliest"
