Sidecar Mayhem At Isle Of Man

By Ajinkya

You all must have heard about the famous and most dangerous race in the world. The Isle Of Man race is the only race that is held on a street from the time of its inception. The track has no run off area and if you have a mishap, it is a possibility that you will crash into someone's house.

The race is famous for two-wheel action and is a real test for riders with treacherous curves and bends. The first races on the streets of Isle of Man were held on 28th of May, 1907.

The first race was won by Charlie Collier, who rode a single-cylinder Matchless motorcycle. He completed his run in four hours, eight minutes and eight seconds at an average speed of 38.21 mph. Now we have sidecar mayhem that takes part on the street of Isle of Man.

The sidecars look and feel a bit more scary than motorcycles as there doesn't seem to be enough space on the narrow roads. Mind you, they are still travelling at excessive speeds. Check the video below and you will be surprised to notice how dangerous sidecars can get.
