A One Of A Kind 'Green' McLaren P1 To Be Auctioned
The McLaren P1 by itself was a special car owing to its exclusivity and hybrid powered engine. Now, there is a one-off P1 that is headed to be auctioned at Monterey Auction. The car headed is the second P1 that was produced, bearing a chassis number 000002.
The car has 576 miles (927 km) on its clock since new and is finished in green — inside out.
The green is not paint, but rather tinted carbon fibre exposing the additional green pigments of the car. To finish the exterior, the owner has decided to go with green 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels.
Inside, there is abundance of green as well. The centre console, steering wheel, and the door trims are finished in matching green. Even the black seats get contrast green stitching.
Speaking about the engine, the McLaren P1 comes with a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged hybrid engine that makes 903bhp, mated to a dual-clutch gearbox that sends power to all four wheels.
Given the facts that the particular P1 was the second car to roll off the assembly line and has very few kilometers on it, the green McLaren P1 is expected to fetch between USD 2,500,000 to 3,000,000 at the auction.
