Spied: 2016 Nissan Micra Spotted, Features Radical Design Changes
The 2016 Nissan Micra has been spied testing on public roads ahead of it expected debut later this year.
Autocar UK spotted the next-gen Nissan Micra hatchback testing under some heavy cladding and camouflage as testers brought it out on public roads to get a few miles of testing under its belt.
Despite the heavy camo and cladding, the Nissan boffins were unable to hide the radical redesign the Micra has undergone.
The new Micra is a revolution rather than an evolution with regards to its desgn compared to the outgoing Micra. The curvs are gone, replaced by sleek angular lines that remind one of the Sway concept featured at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and the Nissan Pulsar hatchback.
The angular lines give the new Micra an agressive look something that is quite clear when you take a look at it from the front. Complimenting the the agressive looking headlamps are the angular roofline as well a spoiler on the roof. The rear door handles are hidden away in the upper corner of the rear doors.
The new Micra is expected to launch later this year and should make its way on to Indian roads soon after its global launch.
