From The Mob To The Good Side — Police Ferrari 458 Is A Former Mafia Car
The Milanese Police have added a supercar with a rather crazy history to their lineup.
The police in the Italian city of Milan have revealed the latest addition to their fleet, a drop-top Ferrari.
The new Milanese Police Ferrari 458 Spider didn't have a good reputation before the cops took it in. Seized from the mob under anti-mafia laws, the prancing horse didn't go to the crusher as the police requested to keep it for their use instead.
The cops from Milan have modified the 458 Spider slightly to help accommodate the two lights, and the new white, red and green livery is now present as well. The modifications were carried out by a local company called Carrozzeria Marazzi Caronno Pertusella who did the changes free of charge.
The former mob Ferrari is now set to be used by the police for legal education projects. The new police car will make appearances at special events for children to make them understand that crime does not pay.
Let's just hope no moron tries to speed past it on its way to one of those events.
